uberrima fides action bonae fidei : an action in Roman law giving great power to the trial judge to take all matters of good faith, conscience and equity into consideration of the whole case. As such, it has certain common elements with علم قاضي in the Iranian judicial practice that means good faith suspicion of the judge that is his absolute certainty about something on the strength of which he has liberty to issue writs or judgments though the Latin term should not be taken as a synonym for the Persian.)
